On October 27, the AgroTechnoPôle – UR TSCF- INRAE hosted the 21st OECD-OECD biennial conference of test engineers at its #Montoldre site, following an initial session held at UTAC Linas-Montlhéry.
For two days, some 60 people from 15 different countries attended scientific and technical presentations and demonstrations. They also took part in working meetings on test methods for assessing the safety of agricultural robots.
The conference paid particular attention to the new #ARPA (Agricultural Robot Performance Assessment focus on Safety functions) test protocols:
- ARPA 1 Detect and avoid collision with reference obstacle
- ARPA 2 Perception system performances under harsh environmental conditions (rain, fog, poor lighting, dust)
- ARPA 3 Work area integrity (Geofencing)
- ARPA 4 Human detection & Collision Avoidance under Agricultural Context
On this occasion, we had the pleasure of co-presenting this work with some of the original partners – Agreenculture and SITIA test benches – from the European # projectARPA (2019-2020) carried out as part of the DIH agROBOfood project, but also with Cerema and SHERPA Engineering as “Mobility Vehicles/Agricultural Robots” Test Operators on the AgroTechnoPôle Platform.
Our special thanks go to our partners SITIA bancs d’essais, Agreenculture, SABI AGRI, Cerema and SHERPA Engineering, and to our colleagues at INRAE‘s TSCF research unit for their invaluable contributions.
Many thanks to OECD-OECD (https://lnkd.in/eciVx65B) for giving us the opportunity to organize this conference and present our work on developing international test protocols for qualifying the safety of agricultural robots, as well as to all the participants for the rich exchanges and conviviality of the event.
