The POLLINOVA project is the result of collaboration between academic partners (INRAE, etc.) and innovative companies (PHIMECA, CREATIVE MECATRONIQUE, etc.). The aim of this innovation is to improve the natural air movements that transport pollen from one plant to another. In the production of hybrid cereals, the transport of pollen from a male parent to a female parent can be amplified by a controlled flow of air while guaranteeing the viability of the pollen, which is very fragile in cereal crops.
